ATSP is based in Geraardsbergen and has been founded in 2003.

CEO of the company is Hans De Smet, who has a long term experience both on a technical level as on
project management level.

During his career, Mr.. De Smet has worked in various markets :

• Industry and Electricity

• Government

• Finance

• Automotive

As a consultant, he received different missions from his employers, but after analyzing the root cause for the problem he was called for, it became apparent that most companies were not able to match business needs with
the functionality of their ICT investments.

ICT people have a tendency to focus on technological needs, forgetting about business needs. This results in a non optimal investment policy, based on technological parameters. For instance, ICT people will include in their roadmap product upgrades or extensions of functionality. But who assesses that these investments are necessary ?
The business might have other demands, like capacity extensions or performance enhancements that are needed,
to ensure a perfect service to the customer.

On the other hand, the business might have unrealistic expectations of what technology can achieve. This is normal, since today's technology is evolving at a fast pace and requires a day to day follow up.
